So the 'Advent' Adventure continues for the McGary Girls (scroll down for the first four days or click here)
Saturday Dec. 5th - Breakfast with Santa, and get a Christmas Tree!
This morning was our Primary's Christmas breakfast at our church. There was an array of donuts and hot chocolate with marshmallows. The girls wore their matching green shirts. I'm not sure if its a dog with antlers or a reindeer, it was cute and on clearance, so I liked it.
First up was Katie! Shocker! A few years ago Katie had issues with being near Santa to say the least. She hoped on his lap and smiled!!
Next we headed to a local tree lot and picked out our tree!

Sunday Dec. 6th - Decorate the tree, watch Devotional
Peyton's turn today, after church the girls got to hang their own ornaments and then help me with the rest of the ornaments. My parents started a tradition of giving the girls an ornament each year, and then the girls have collected other ornaments from trips or as gifts.
I love that every ornament has a special memory or significance. It takes us a while to put up the ornaments because we talk about almost every single one! If it was bought on a trip we talk about that trip and then note how long ago it was.
Then we watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional on BYU-TV. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir sounded beautiful as always. My only complaint was the women wore these ocean blue dresses, I was a little disappointed that they didn't wear a more festive holiday color like red or dark green. But the stand looked amazing.

I am always disappointed with what the women are wearing. They really need a new stylist. But I guess they don't do it for the fashion.
