Since we were still on vacation on Peyton's actual birthday, and Meg's birthday is just 3 weeks later, we decided to do a joint-birthday party!
All the local family came and helped us celebrate the two birthday girls. I decorated the house with signs and balloons, and the TV screen showed a slide show of Peyt and Meg photos. After serving lunch we let Peyton have the spotlight first. She opened all her gifts and was so excited with each one! Then we sang happy birthday to Peyton!
Then it was Meghan's turn to be in the 'spotlight'. She opened all her gifts and then we all sang happy birthday to her.
It worked out great having the two parties together. I made sure each birthday child had their own birthday cake and 'spotlight' time so they both know they are individually special.
