Family Vacation - July 10

It's Saturday, July 10th, and it's a special day today. Not just because we're camping in Bryce Canyon, but because it's
Peyton's 2nd Birthday!!!
Adam made french toast, Peyton's favorite. We sang happy birthday to her. After breakfast we went straight to Bryce Canyon National Park! Here we five are with Uncle Jeff. See the blue skies, it's a beautiful day!
View from the first 'overlook' area. WOW!
View from another lookout.

The girls did really well on the trails. All the overlook areas have walls/fences, but the trails don't. It was great that my brother Jeff was with us, then we had 3 adults and 3 children, so we each held the hand of one child as we walked the trails. The girls loved walking on the trails and seeing squirrels, bugs and trying to guess the shapes of some of the rock formations.
After a few hours of going to several lookouts and walking lots of trails we headed back to the RV for lunch. I bought a small cake so we could celebrate Peyton's birthday today.
We sang happy birthday and then Peyton got to blow out her pink #2 candle.
She was very excited about all the attention she was getting.
After lunch we stopped at a few more lookouts when we noticed dark clouds coming in, and then it started to sprinkle, and then rain as we were driving through the exit. Perfect timing.
We were planning on leaving anyway, so it worked out. We were at Bryce Canyon for over 5 hours and I took over 150 pictures. I would definitely go back to Bryce and next time go to the northern loop, which has more trails and waterfalls.
We left Bryce and Adam drove straight home. It was a long drive home and we got in late, but it was a long fun week of family, fun and adventure!
