Today was a BIG day. First we camped last night at Granite Creek Hot Springs, Wyoming. This morning we walked over to the next campsite and had breakfast with Adam's dad and wife. Grandpa made breakfast burritos and it was a nice and relaxing morning eating breakfast surrounded by trees. It is also Larry & Clarice's 13th Wedding Anniversary today!
After breakfast we were all off to go to the
Grand Teton National Park. Our 5 piled into their van and everything was going great...then we got a flat tire.

Adam and his dad had the tire fixed in 5 minutes and we were back on the road again. The girls thought the flat tire was cool and enjoyed watching them fix it together.
First stop was the
Grand Teton National Park. We stopped at a few of the view points and did a small hike. Here we all are in front of the beautiful Grand Tetons.

Then we ate lunch at the Pioneer Grill next to Jackson Lake. The Grill had this old 1950's feel and it was all counter seating. The girls thought it was fun to sit at the counter.

Next we ventured north into
Yellowstone National Park. Adam, Clarice and I did a little shopping first while the girls hung out with Grandpa and Tecum the dog on the porch.

Then we wondered over to the Old Faithful Geyser site and waited, and waited....45 minutes later
Old Faithful erupted!

Once we were done wandering around Yosemite we headed back to the campsite. On the way back we had to make a quick stop at the 'Lewis Lake Ranger Station', named after Meriwether Lewis (aka the Lewis from 'Lewis & Clark'). Not sure if he is a distant relative, but it was still neat to see a Lewis River, Lewis Waterfall and Lewis Lake.

And for all my Lewis relatives, here is the Lewis Waterfall from the
Lewis River, which then becomes
Lewis Lake.

Here is a pic of the girls in the back of the van. They sang songs, played games and had fun exploring and going on hikes at the two parks.

We didn't get back to the campsite until really late. It was a fun but long day.
