Family Vacation - July 8

Today is our last day camping in Wyoming. The girls have loved camping here. I'm guessing having Grandpa and Clarice at the next camp spot and this huge meadow within walking distance have been the two best parts for them.

This morning before breakfast the girls and I went on a final walk to the meadow.

Then we headed back to have breakfast at Grandpa's table!
After breakfast we went on a long hike. The girls followed Grandpa through another meadow...

... through some brush and down to the river! Here is our family of five.

Then we went back thru the brush and 'foresty' areas. It was really pretty and peaceful, we saw a lot of small animals and different birds.

Next we went to the Granite Falls.

Then we drove up to the Granite Hot Springs. You park in this parking lot, then cross a bridge over this river...

...to a pool built next to the mountain. Its water is pumped from the hot spring, so it was like a big hot tub. Meg and Katie went swimming with daddy and grandpa, while Peyt napped.

Afterwards, we packed up the RV, said our good-byes and left Wyoming and headed to Utah. Once we were in Utah we made a quick stop at a rest stop so the girls could run around as we had been in the RV for a few hours.

The rest stop was in this canyon, and the sun was starting to set, beautiful. But instead of running around, the girls made several friends with the local squirrels (you can see them in the bushes)

Adam grabbed some Fritos and Corn-nuts and the girls happily fed the squirrels for almost an hour.

Peyton kept following them to their holes.

We then arrived back in Salt Lake City, and parked the RV in my sisters drive way.
