It's Saturday and time to leave the ship. We packed up our stuff last night so this morning was easy. We walked around the ship and ate some breakfast. After breakfast we lounged around and used up the last of our 'Internet time' by checking emails and sending emails.
After we de-boarded the ship at the port in Civitavecchia we went back to the train depot (about 1 mile from the port) and hoped on the train back to Rome (about 80 km or 50 miles away)
Once we were back in Rome we checked into our hotel and then ventured around the city. We had already made arrangements to fly home the next day so we could have a day exploring Rome.

Adam wasn't feeling well, so we altered our plans to only visiting two big things: first was Vatican City. We arrived at St. Peter's Square and the line to enter the Sistine chapel was over 2 hours long, we opted to just walk around and take pics.
Even though it was 4 weeks after Christmas, the Nativity displays were still up.
We then hoped on the metro and headed towards the Coliseum. 
Next to the Coliseum was the Arch of Constantine. 
After walking around the Coliseum we hoped back on the metro and headed back to our hotel. Sadly, Adam was really sick, so no big romantic dinner in Rome tonight. Instead, while he stayed at the hotel I went shopping and got some pastries. On Sunday we flew home. We flew from Rome to Newark, Newark to Orange County. Adam was still really sick and thankfully he did ok on the flights. The girls were happy to see us, it was good to see them too and be home.
