Ciao! Were now in Northern Italy. Today we were supposed to port in the city of Marseille, France but the dock workers were on strike. So instead the port is Savona, Italy, about 2 hours away. For those who still want to go to Marseille instead of Savona, buses were available. It didn't matter to us as we had already book an excursion to Monaco!! So we boarded our bus and drove thru cute little towns in northern Italy until we arrived in Monaco! Here we are in the gardens next to the harbor.
Us in front of Saint Nicholas Cathedral, where Prince Rainer wed Princess Grace in 1956 and where Prince Albert II is to be married this summer.
As we were in front of the church a motocade drove by and we saw Prince Albert II!!! He waved to us! Sadly I had already placed my camera back in my bag so no pic.
Our tour also took us over to the palace which has this view of the harbor.
We got to see the change of the guard at the palace.
Next we walked over to the famous hotels, the ones you see in the movies. The guys were more excited about all the fancy cars in front of the hotels.

Overall, Monaco was amazing. It was so clean and perfect looking that I felt we were on a movie set. Some of the buildings looked fake, but they were real!
