Lessons learned

Warning: This is NOT recommended for losing your first tooth.

Here's a great tip: NEVER put a jump rope in your mouth when someone else is holding the other end! Especially when that person really wants the jump rope! Yesterday Katie and another little girl were arguing about a jump rope after school. Katie put the jump rope into her mouth as a 'claim' to the jump rope, well the other little girl didn't see it that way and 'claimed' it back by yanking on the jump rope.

We noticed last night at the ward dinner that her upper tooth was wiggly and Katie said it hurt. This morning we noticed it was still wiggly but her gum above it was purple and black. Yikes. Adam thought the tooth/gum area was dead and needed to be pulled out, so he grabbed his pliers and with one yank it was out.

So technically, Katie has lost her first tooth and will soon get a visit from the tooth fairy. For the record, none of her other teeth are wiggly, so it'll be awhile before she loses a tooth normally.
