Vacation Time!! Who-hoo! We loaded up the RV and we were off...first stop was Solvang. Never been there, always wanted to go, heard lots of great comments about the place, LOVE it!. There was a parking lot for RV's so we parked and walked around. Solvang is adorable. We had lunch at Paula's Pancake House.
We sat outside to watch the people pass by. The girls enjoyed their lunch.
Peyton enjoyed stealing Katie's apple juice. She loves straws.
After lunch we walked around some more.
After Solvang, we headed towards Pismo Beach. We stayed at an RV park near the beach. Adam made hamburgers on the grill and the we roasted marshmallows over the firepit.
The next morning the girls went for a bike ride.
We don't use our bikes very often, the girls in the past haven't been really in to them, but after using them a little bit on the trip the girls want to use them more often now.
After breakfast in Pismo we loaded up and headed north to Big Sur. Katie watched a movie in the back,
while Meg played games.
Along the way to Big Sur we came across one beach that had lots of elephant seals beached, they were molting (shedding their summer skin/fur, they lay in the sun and throw sand on themselves) . We saw over 30 seals.
At one look-out point we stopped and had lunch. Nice to have a microwave, fridge, bathroom along with a view of the ocean.
Next up...Big Sur!

How fun it must be to just cruise around in your RV!! I have always wanted to go to Solvang...looks like an interesting place.
