Girls Weekend in Las Vegas

So this weekend was a fun girls weekend in Las Vegas!! A really good friend of my sis-in-law April was getting married in Vegas and April was a bridesmaid. I've known the bride for over 5 years and was so happy that she was getting married. So Adam's mom Babette and 2 sisters Atalie and Morgan and I headed to Vegas for the wedding too.

We were technically in Vegas, even though we never went near the strip. We were about 5 minutes from the strip when we went left on the 215 freeway and headed towards the mountain. We stayed at the beautiful Red Rock Casino Resort. Here was our room. The hotel was beautiful and had amazing chandeliers everywhere.
We checked in Friday night. Then we went shopping down the street at Kohl's and had a late dinner at Applebees. Went back to the hotel and hung out with the bride and bridal party for a bit then went to bed late (it was way after 1am!).

Saturday morning we all slept in and then went down to the buffet for breakfast. After breakfast we went down to the pool area. Wow! The pool area was gorgeous. There was one large pool area and then several smaller pool areas. We lounged by one of the smaller pools where it was quiet and peaceful (aka no kids).
After swimming and lounging we headed up to the bridal suite to see how the hair and make-up was going. April was done and looked beautiful. Sharon the bride was almost done and looked amazing. We saw her wedding dress and then we four headed back to our room to start getting ready for the wedding ourselves.
As we were leaving and waiting for valet....the bridal party was also leaving!! So quick pic of us four with the beautiful bride and all her bridesmaids. The wedding was 5 minutes from the hotel at a country club golf course. The golf course was up on a hill overlooking the entire Vegas valley. Sharon was stunning in her gown.
Here is the four of us: me, Morgan, Atalie, Babette and Nicole. Nicole is Adam's cousin visiting from Idaho. It was a mini-family reunion!
Here we all are at the reception with April.
The reception was fun, we danced and danced, they played music from the 90's which was so fun!! Everyone was singing and dancing.

Sunday morning we went to brunch/lunch with the bride and groom, several bridesmaids and groomsmen, there was a lot of people but it was fun.
After lunch April joined us and we did some shopping and tried to waste time until 6pm to drive home (to avoid the afternoon traffic) but we still hit traffic and it took over 6 hours to get home. ugggh.

Positives: It was a fun weekend. Sharon and Rico's wedding was lovely. We all got to sleep in. I went swimming and didn't get sunburned!

Negatives: my back was bothering me a lot, traffic on the 15
