Snow Trip

Our little family of five plus two other families headed up to the mountains for a quick get-away this weekend. One of Adam's client's has a cabin in Green Valley Lake (between Lake Arrowhead & Big Bear Lake) that she graciously offered for us to use.
We drove up Friday afternoon in the RV and parked on the street in front of the cabin. The girls were so excited. Then the Waldrons and Marshalls arrived. We had 9 kids under the age of 8 and they all played really well with each other. After dinner and the kids were in bed the 6 of us adults stayed up way to late talking.
We slept in the RV and the others slept in the cabin. Adam made pancakes for breakfast this morning and then we all went outside to play in the snow!
Peyton has been sick with a viral infection (which why her face has red dots), but she still enjoyed playing in the snow.
The kids all took turn sledding down the hill next to the cabin.
I then grabbed some red cups and plastic spoons so the kids could make snow castles. Love those red cups!
The kids all had fun.
I was quite surprised at well Peyton did with the snow, she refused to wear a hat or gloves so her hands were freezing, but she loved playing with all the other kids.

We really lucked out with the land around the cabin. There was plenty of flat area for the kids to play in the snow and then the side of the cabin sloped which was perfect for sledding.

After some warming up with yummy hot chocolate we all headed home Saturday afternoon. Fun overnight trip!
