So today we celebrated Peyton's 1st Birthday by having a "P" Party! A "P" Party is a party all about the letter P in honor of Peyton!

The food, decorations, games were all
P's, and all the
party guests were encouraged to wear
P items.
(a suggestion list was given: paisley, polka dots, pinstripe, plaid, pants, petal-pushers, poncho, platform shoes, etc) It was all about the "
P" today!!

As you entered our home, our entry way table had a
picture frame of
Peyton,
Pooh,
Piglet,
ponies,
P E Y T O N
puzzle
pieces, and a
piano! Meg was a big help in finding
P things to decorate with.

Menu: Plain Pizza & Pepperoni Pizza, Pasta salad, Potato salad, Potato chips and Pretzels with Pink lemonade, Plain water and Pepsi products. Oh, I'm just starting with the P's...
This table had a picnic table cloth, Pooh, Pennysaver, princess picture frame of Peyton. All the tables had a pink pail with pinto beans, pens and pencils (for the games)

This table has a pink table cloth, Piglet, ping-pong, pom-poms, poodle, Pocahontas, pictures of Peyton and People magazines.

All guests were encouraged to wear P items, the more items the better.
For example our family: Adam is wearing a plumeria periwinkle polo, plaid shorts (4 points), Katie = pigtails with pink hairbands and pink hair clips, pink polka dot party dress, pink princess sandals, purple bracelet (9), Meg = ponytail with multiple pink and purple hairbands and clips, pearl necklace, purple wings, purple pajamas, pink pajama pants, pink and purple bracelets, pink shoes (it was over 15, but she can't win), Peyton - pink and peach plaid party dress, pink hair bow, pierced earrings (6); Me = ponytail, pearls, pearl pierced earrings, pink top, pants, pink shoes (7).

Everyone came with atleast 1 P item, several had over 5. Grandma Cathy and Great Aunt Kathy had over 10. The p item winner was Aunt Atalie...she had over 15 items!! Her
prize? A gift card to
Pick-up Stix!!

After lunch was game time. The kids table had crayons and I had coloring pages of pigs, parrots, peacocks, penguins and panda bears to entertain the kids while the adults played 2 games. First game, Can you guess the P items?

There was
40 pictures of symbols, characters, icons or logos. (Example: Pepsi, Pillsbury, Pizza Hut, Pringles, Peace, Pluto, Pink Panther, Porky Pig, etc...) There are a lot of P's out there!!

Uncle Aric was the winner, he got all of them right except one! Then the next top winners also got some prizes.
The last P game was a Q & A, like what is the town in Pete's Dragon (Pasamaquody), name the 2 dogs in 101 Dalmatians (Pongo & Perdita or Perdy); Name Lynette & Tom's kids on Desperate Housewives: Penny, Porter, Parker & Preston, etc...you get the gist. Uncle Andrew & Aunt Wynter each got a perfect score!
Prizes: peanut MMs, peanut butter MMs, plain MMS, peach rings, peanuts, pistachios, pecan pinwheels, and more! It's all about the P!
Then we all went inside to have Peyton open up gifts. Everyone spoiled this little girl.

Then it was cake time. We sang Happy Birthday to Peyton, she loved everyone singing to her.

Then Peyton sat in her chair and got to eat her little cake all by herself! She really enjoyed her cake. Everyone just gathered around and cheered her on.

There was cake all over the floor, the wall and a few guests.
Little video of Peyton really enjoying her cake!! Enjoy!
Everyone had a perfect time. I was very pleased with how the party ended. Peyton scored in the clothing dept. No hand-me-downs for awhile!

And she got some books, stuffed animals and more fun stuff too.
Thank you to everyone who helped with set-up, take-down, cleaning up the cake area and cleaning Peyton's high chair. I hope all our family had a perfect time at Peyton's P party!
Happy 1st Birthday Peyton!!

How I love the creativity that you have! I wish that I could have been there! Happy Birthday Peyton!
Oh my goodness Andrea...what a perfect party!! I LOVE this party idea! Did you come up with all the games yourself? I thought everything was just so clever!! I don't know if an "O" themed party would be as successful.
PS We just got the adorable invitation to Meghan's baptism, which was also super impressive. We've moved so by the time it got forwarded to our new address it was after the baptism already took place. I will have to give you our new address. Hopefully the day went great!!
