Dec. 12th We went and got our tree tonight, when we got home Meg vacuumed the Living Room and helped me get the tree stand ready while Adam cut the bottom part of the trunk off.
After the tree was placed in our living room, my mom came over to deliver part of her Christmas gifts early. Every year my parents have given an ornament and a Christmas book to their grandchildren.
This year Meghan got a Wizard of Oz (because she and my mom went to the play in July), Katie got Barbie Diamond Castle and Peyt got a First Christmas ornament.
Then they got the book "Once There Was a Christmas Tree".
And then my mom gave my Peyt's stocking to add to our family. My Grandma LeNore Lewis made mine the year I was born (She made one for everyone in the family: all my aunts, uncles and 22 cousins) I love traditions and I'm glad my mom has continued the tradition with her 3 son-in-laws and 6 grandkids.
Then my girls gave Grandma their ornament gift to her. This year it was 6 snow-people to represent her 6 grandkids.
