At church I am the Co-Activity Day Girls Leader, which is the 8-11 year old girls. We planed a fun Valentine's "Date Night" for the girls with their dads. The theme was snowmen and 'you melt my heart'. We decorated the room with pink and snowmen. We hung cotton balls on string to look like falling snow. All the plates and cups were hearts. The girls painted picture frames as a gift and they were sitting on the table at their seats.
Salad was served in a top hat
Biscuits were in the shape of a snowman, and fruit kabobs made of bananas, choc chips, apples and pretzels were snowmen too.
Meg with her date!
In the corner we hung fabric with hearts and falling snow to take pics of the girls with their dads. Then we printed the pics to add to the frame that the girls painted.
The 'melted snowman' soup! We made a sausage potato cheese soup, then used olives, carrots and bell pepper for the face.
Dessert was stacked powder donuts and milk bottles with a donut.
For games we blindfolded each couple and had them draw a snowman in 30 seconds, points were given for each 'part'.
Then we wrapped the dads in toilet paper and added accessories to make them live snowmen! The girls really enjoyed toilet papering their dads, a lot of laughs!
