Meg's school had their musical presentation today with all of the 1st graders. The program was based on "America's firsts" (Get it? First Graders, America's Firsts...haha). Meg's class and 2 other classes were first up.
Meg is in the second row from the top, third from the left.
They all wore red, white and blue. First they recited the "Pledge of Allegiance" and then sang the "Star Spangled Banner". Meg's group sang a song about Neil Armstrong (1st on the moon), the Wright brothers (1st flight) and Thomas Edison (light bulbs).Here is a video of them singing "Let it Shine" (Edison, light bulbs), Meg is the one with the white headband. Meg had been practicing her songs for weeks. After Meg's group was done they exited the stage and the next 3 classes came on stage to sing 3 more songs.

Thanks for posting this so I could get a little snippet of one of Meghan's songs. Clever to use this song for the invention of the light bulb!
