O.C. Fair & more birthday fun

It's the last weekend of the O.C. Fair and we always go every year, but with just having a baby 3 weeks ago and me dealing with infections and busted stitches from my c-section almost made it not happen. But we decided to be adventurous for the girls and go anyway. We always go super early right when the Fair opens at 10am and then stay for about 2 hours. It gives the girls plenty of time to ride all their favorite rides with 1) no lines, 2) it's not hot yet, and 3) it's not crowded either. As we leave around noon, that's when the line of cars attempting to enter the parking lot is backed up onto the 55 freeway, so we avoid all the crowds and chaos.

The girls love the fair. Both of them love the roller coasters, the faster the better. We only avoid 1 ride, it's like Knott's Supreme Scream, where it takes you up about 20 feet and then drops you. We avoid it because Katie is about 1 inch to short to ride the ride...and if Meg goes on a ride without Katie it's drama!!! Luckily next year Katie will be tall enough and Peyton won't care yet.
Peyton had a great first time at the fair. Here she is waiting for her 2 big sisters (behind her) to get off the ride. While Adam took the older 2 on rides, Peyton and I went inside the exhibit buildings to see the exhibits and demos (PLUS it's air conditioned!) Peyton slept the entire time.
After 2 hours of fun we head towards the exit and stopped by the petting zoo.

Later Saturday afternoon, we celebrated Meg's birthday with the extended family at Red Robin.

Meg wore her new outfit from us and I curled her hair. She wanted to look like Miley (aka Hannah Montana). Ah, my monkey is growing up!!
Meg's grandparents and local aunts and uncles all came to dinner with us, our table had 18 people.

The staff sang Happy Birthday to her and brought this huge dessert, Meg said it was delicious!!
