1st day of School - 2010

The girls were all excited about their first day of school! Meghan is now a fourth grader and Kaitlyn started Kindergarten. They attend the same Magnet school in our area. This year Peyton is going to a Pre-school.Meg our 'fashionista' fourth grader with her new backpack. Meg loves accessories! Katie our sweet Kindergartner. She was so excited to get a backpack "for school" this year. I walked Meg and Katie to their 'line-up' numbers on the blacktop and met their teachers. Then the principal started the flag deck (opening morning announcements, flag salute, etc). Then Wild Wing (NHL Ducks mascot) arrived and danced for all the kids, everyone was dancing and laughing. The Anaheim Ducks is one of the sponsors at their Magnet school. When the kids were dismissed to go to their classrooms, Wild Wing escorted all the Kindergartners to their classrooms and high-five'd each student. Katie had a huge smile on her face when he high-five'd her.
